Giving Thanks to the Lord

Normally a brain tumor like mine wouldn't show up on a simple CT Scan.

Mine showed up RIGHT AWAY.

Thank you to our Lord.

Grief

After a dear friend lost their husband, I shared the following in hopes it may help. Now I share it here to you:

When your loved one passes away, you will have experienced a profound change in your life, which may, and it’s only a ‘may’ cause you to:

  • Stop worrying/wondering about the future and instead ruminate about the past;

  • Stop trying new recipes;

  • Stop cooking or wanting to cook at all;

  • Stop buying fresh groceries;

  • Stop doing laundry, until it’s a must;

  • Stop listening to the usual talk show & political pundits yapping about the mundane daily chum;

  • Stop calling or seeking out company;

  • Stop wanting new experiences;

Instead you may, and it’s only a ‘may’:

  • Wander about your kitchen, aimlessly;

  • Drive, such as to Lumsden or to Fort Qu’Appelle, just to be doing something;

  • Sit and ruminate;

  • Be short-tempered with the little things;

  • Look at photos with your loved one;

  • Listen to comfort music, and my chosen playlist varied from Symphonic works to Brass Choral Ensembles to solely choral to Canadian country;
