All treatment options have been explored

It is with a heavy heart that the Atter family shares that all treatment options for Julie have been explored.
With her permission, I am sharing today that Julie has finished the last round of intensive chemotherapy that is possible, and there is no further treatment that can be done.
At this time, the terminal glioblastoma brain tumour is progressing and slowly affecting different functions.
Please consider sharing a story, a memory, prayer or anything you wish to have shared with her. Especially memories band with Mrs. Atter or music.

The old saying once a Jule always a Jewel certainly rings true here. Julie you were always the glue or grapevine for the descendants of Grandma and Grandpa Donnelly. If Julie didn’t have the news on what was going on it wasn’t worth knowing. You are one of a kind Cuz. I know the most important thing to Julie is her family, not taking anything away from Stacy, or her own kids, an extra twinkle in her eye or voice when she talks of the Grandkids. ( He He He).

I went to O’Neill high school where Julie was a teacher and also the mother of one of my closest friends at school. I have incredibly fond memories of how she treated me, with so much care and kindness. I remember staying over at the family’s house and being so appreciative of how comfortable and cared for I felt in their home. One summer Julie invited me up to their cabin with some of the family and Laura and for the first time in my life I had the privilege of escaping the city to a beautiful cabin where we cooked hot dogs, went out on the lake, and went for ice cream as a treat. My memories of Julie started when I moved into the neighborhood. She was pregnant at the time 1995-1996 if I remember correctly. She always smiled and said hello. She was one of the first people I met. Of course she was also the instigator of the Montague Street Block party and remained the matriarch in the following years. The bonfires, fire truck, bicyle parades, food and a great way for neighbours to know each other - all started because Julie made it happen. I also have received produce from her garden. Julie and family have been a joy to the neighbourhood. I will hold all of you in my heart in the coming days.
Julie is my neighbour, my musical colleague, and my treasured friend of thirteen years. She introduced me to my spouse Cory, and we have enjoyed hers and Stacy's welcoming generosity countless times.
My favourite memory with Julie was when she threw me the most unforgettable, best ever 40th birthday party at Malty National. I always have a big hug for Julie ❤️

Some of my fondest memories of you, Julie, are your beautiful smile, your profound kindness, and your unwavering commitment to doing what was best for kids. I always appreciated your genuine friendliness and, most of all, your ability to find laughter even in the face of hard things. You have touched so many lives, and I feel very blessed to have known and worked alongside you.
